We were able to attend the Louisa County Board meeting on March 8, 2022. We put together a speech concerning the need for skatepark in Louisa County, Virginia. After the speech was given I made my way outside to leave the meeting early.

As I made my way out of the door I heard someone trying to get my attention. One of the board member had interrupted the meeting and came out to let me know a few things that I can share here.

The Skatepark is definitely going to happen
No official timeline yet
We are waiting for the health center to relocate (may use old skatepark location)
Money will be /already is allocated for the skatepark project but do not know how much
Ramps may be wood/metal construction (Guess at this point)
Bakwuds will be the first contact made when the time comes to start planning the park
We may be contracted to design the park and/or build it
Concrete might be out of budget (Guess at this point)

We will be taking the results of this form to the next town meeting March 8, 2022 at 6 pm. The meeting will be held at the Louisa County Administrative building public meeting room.
